Service proper defined.

Only by living in the association of the sadhus and engaging in the service of the Lord, Sri Guru, and the Vaisnavas is good fortune for the soul attained. Making a show of service according to one’s mental whims is not service; only when one renders service for the satisfaction of Guru and Krishna according to the instructions of Sri Gurudev does one render pure service.
